...but I have decided to buy an Epson printer, the question is do i wait and get the r2400or save money and go for the r1800....this will mostly be used for my personal stuff to mount, and for friends.....but i dont wanna buy cheaper and regret it in a month....somebody just tell me what to do ! lol Ive been lurking here for awhile and it has been most helpful !! Thanks

I can tell you I bought the R1800 and it's stunning, however the R2400 wasn't on the horizon then.
If you can afford the 2400 then go for it . BTW I havn't read any reviews yet but if the R1800 is anything to go by the R2400 must be something special.
I believe the B&W prints are much better due to the extra black ink cartridges.

You only gain 3 things by going with the 2400: straight through paper feed for very thick paper (unusual), new even longer lasting inks (R1800 inks are very long lasting 100 years+, and a new light light black.
Drawbacks? 2 - costs $300 more and picoliter size on 2400 is 3.5 and on R1800 is 1.5
It sounds like for what you want to do the 1800 is the clear choice.

You also gain increased gamut and deeper darker blacks among other things.

Thanks for your opinions, Im still kind of on the fence, but leaning toward 2400 just because of the supposed improve ment in B@W, Now if i can only find it !
