Hi POTN!

I was asked by a close friend of mines if I would take family portraits for them. I was a bit hesitant as I have been feeling very insecure in my shooting abilities as of late but I thought it would be fun. So I met with them at a park and just snapped away. Kids are so hard to shoot!

C&C welcomed as always.

i don't think you should be insecure! they make very nice photos. how did you light the last one? it has a very nice even look that sometimes i can't get which drives me insane

Thank you, Joanakaylene! I will try not to be so insecure. = )

the last shot was shot around noon on a porch of a historic building. Fortunately for me there was a shed off to the left of them that had a white wall that cast this great light onto the porch. thats how I was able to light them so evenly.

Nice shots. My only real critique would be to move them farther away from the house. The siding/window frames are a bit distracting. Very cute family.

nice photos! you got some great expressions. it looks like you have a good understanding of light. i think if you continue to concentrate on composition, you'll be able to produce some wonderful images! on #4, i don't know if this is a tighter crop from the original, but they look cramped in the frame. #2 is a fun shot, but the tree dominates the frame. keep up the good work, and i look forward to seeing more of your shots here!

nice exposure on the last photo but i think cropping is a bit tight.
