My last few hours in Sydney were spend wandering around Fox Studios. It's not everyday you see a X-wing fighter, so I thought I should take a few photos.

All shot hand-held @ ISO 3200 f/2.8 with a 20D and Tamron 28-75mm. At times like this I wish I had the foresight to carry a tripod with me.

That's really cool!! Did you use any noise editing software with those? Your photos look pretty clean at ISO 3200, and I think you've pretty much sold me on buying a 20D and shown yet another place I must go when I visit Australia.

Paul - here is an unprocessed 100% crop from the series.

The 20D's high ISO performance is great, and the main reason I opted for the 20D over a 300D or 350XT. It's not preferable to use all the time, but I regularly get usable photos at ISO 3200.

Hey that's pretty good for that light level...sheesh.

The 20D's high ISO performance is great, and the main reason I opted for the 20D over a 300D or 350XT.

350D and 20D have identical high ISO performance.

I just wish the 350D had 3200 ISO for situations like those.

P.S. Don't you love that Tamron? I just got mine today and holy cow it's never coming off this camera ever.
