Rebel XT scroll preview problem

Hello,
I'm really not sure if this is a problem. When pressing the left or right button during playback mode on the XT, the camera is suppose to display the pictures one by one right . but in my case, when I press the button, instead of showing the next one, it somehow skips a picture. so if I'm viewing the 1st picture, when I press the right button it's suppose to display the 2nd right, but it shows the 3rd. To display the 2nd picture, I had to do a really quick push. Normal pressing seems to skip pictures but a quick one displays them one by one. The weird thing is this only happens when viewing raw pictures. everything's fine when viewing the jpeg ones.
Anyone has experienced this before? Should I take my camera to a service center?

Mine does the same, so I resorted to using the scroll wheel.

To tell you truth, I've become so use to the wheel that I don't realy care.

But we are not the only ones; I've seen this being commented before. Maybe a software fix from canon will adress that.

Not a problem for me though, so I'm not worrying too much.

my xt does that sometimes, seems like the buttons are very touch sensitive.

Maybe it's a defect and Canon will give us 20D's instead!!!!

I think I'll drop by canon later and ask them about this. could be a good reason to replace this with a new one :) . or get a lens for a discounted price.:D

I was shooting in all RAW today for the first time and I had this problem. I just thought I was holding the button down for too long since pushing it really quickly prevented it from happening. I'm glad to hear its actually just a 'feature' instead of me being too finger heavy :lol:

Yeah, I agree with HelenThura, I think the buttons are just really touchy. Just use the wheel. So much easier. :)

If you hold the button down too long, when you let up it will scroll .

I have not had any problems with mine when I press the button normally

The wheel is better than the arrows for almost everything since you can feel positive clicks. For instance, when changing ISO in bright sunlight and it's hard to see the LCD I know it's one click to the left for lower ISO, one click to the right to go up. And if you're scrolling through pictures in enlarged view, you have to use the wheel anyways.
