Hi guys! I am in the process of building my web portfolio before I begin taking paid jobs, and I would like some feedback. I have a family shoot coming up, and I plan on scoping out the areas at the park prior to it. Any feedback on my current photos would be nice as these are open for public viewing for potential clients. I have a tough skin, so please be bluntly honest. No hurt feelings here, I want to learn from constructive criticism. All my photos are natural light only.

Thanks!

I'm no expert, but here is my critique for what it's worth.

Your compositions are first rate. I really like the way you frame a shot. For me, I think that is one of the most challenging aspects of photography. You make the frame interesting.

For portrait work, your use of only natural light is very limiting and keeps your photos flat. You also seem to have some blown out areas on some of your photos in areas that really shouldn't be blown out. The dynamic range of some of these shots could have been compressed using strobes. One guy's forehead looks blown out. The face of a girl looks blown out. You need to work on using better quality light, and better using that light.
