View Full Version : Which photobook cover works better?

I'm making a photo book. Using this website: http://www.blurb.com/

I have been through my entire library and narrowed it down to two final selections for the cover image. I need your opinions:

The "a" versions just have different fonts. The text style and layout is definitely not set in stone... just trying to decide on the photo for now. The image in either case will wrap partially around to the back of the book, and in the blank white space on the left I will probably do an "about" section or something.

Right now I am really leaning toward #1. I think that #2 might be a more impressive photo... but I just cannot get over the clouds in #1... and I think as a wingsuit pilot those are the moments we dream about, endless crispy puffies with the sun hitting them at a long angle... just 2 or 3 birds flying around.

But so far everyone I have asked (all skydivers) has voted for #2.

I like both 1 and 2, but not the graphics of 1a and 2a.

I voted for #2.

I like the balance of 1 a lot better than 2, and definitely would go with 1 over 1a. Cool shots! Got my heart beating a little harder just looking at them.

i love the traingular formation of the divers a lot more in in 1, but the sunset is beautiful in 2.

maybe you could do some PS trickery to make the divers better arranged in 2?

I like 1, but the Print takes from it
Want to make them open the cover leave the title and such off the cover. Just the Sky Glider's and clouds. Put your info inside cover with another shot. - or - Maybe just your Logo bottom right corner or something.

I agree. The formation really looks cool. Id pick that one. :)

So cool! Stunning photos..I heard only first heard about this sport on TV, The Bonnie Hunt SHow ! I couldn't think about jumping off a cliff with only a suit on!!! Amazing talents...breathtaking scenery.....stay safe!
