Maybe someone can help me. I did an extensive amount of work on a photo restoration job tonight... then went ahead and said no instead of yes to the Save prompt! :o :o :o
I think I read once that there was a way to retrieve the lost information but I don't remember how. When I reopened the file, I checked history and it is gone too.:( :( :(
Is there a hero in the house?

It depends on which editor you were using, whether it caches a copy of the work in progress, and whether that copy is saved as a temp file (.TMP).

Recommend going to Adobe's Support forums and searching and/or posting your question there.

This is not going to help your immediate problem Karen but may be of use in the future: I use Go-Back (was Roxio to v3 now Norton v4) http://www.symantec.com/goback/ . In a similar situation to the one you described you would be able to revert your whole HDD, or just selected files, to a previous time or date. Invaluable imho.

Thanks, Rafiki. I'm going to check this out, for sure. By the way, welcome to the forum!

Bob... By editor, do you mean the graphics software I was using at the time? It would be Photoshop.

Does this only work for files that were previously saved or will it work on files that are being worked on but never saved? My understanding is that goback only works to restore previous versions of a file on disk.

You know, I think you're right. Never considered that. Sorry for the misinformation all.
