Does anyone know how to save my settings to manual focus infinity? i use it with the c1 c2 settings for surfing, and every time i have it on manual focus and look at a photo in playback it changes back to auto whenever i start shooting again, and sometimes when i press manual focus again it changes from infinity down to 2 metres?????

My best guess is you have Safety MF turned On (see pages 131-132 in your User Guide). It appears to work the same as you described with my G9 when I have Safety MF turn On, but not when I have it turned Off.

That's the way it works. MF is not permanent while switching between shooting- and playback-mode.
Use the review-mode instead by pressing FUNC.SET directly after the shot (duration can be configured in the menu). You can use all functions (zoom, scroll, ...) for this current shot and when you press the shutter release button your MF is on and still has the same settings.
