I find it funny how some people dismiss cheap tripods. Yes they are cheap in quality and in build, but at times it makes more sense to lug a cheap lightweight tripod rather than a 4lb combination. i'd rather have a cheap tripod than no tripod :D!

Depends. I have a cheap tripod that turns into a tuning fork in a breeze. I can do better handheld.
