I spent a half hour searching every entomology site I could find with no luck. If you find out what it is, post it!

It is a beelte of some kind - possibly a type of weevil. There is an enormous variety of beetles, and my books only deal with Australian examples, but weevil is the closest I could find with the long nose. Fascinating creature :-) !

Yup, I agree with RockOne. It is some type of weevil.
