Here are a few shots i took of Ethan having his 4th solid meal. I posted them in the family and kids section but didn't get a whole lot of good critique, so here I am.

I know they are far from 'gallery shots,' but some tips on how they could be improved would be nice. I plan to frame at least one of them.

Once I converted them to JPEG they looked a little oversharpened, though they looked fine in LR. Can this be fixed in the future, without having to use trial and error?

All pics were taken with my 17-55 at 1/200, Shot 1 was f/8, 2 was f/7.1. Both have flash bouncing off the ceiling.

The second one made me smile. He looks like he could be cheeky ;)
Congrats for bringing Ethan into the world!

#2 is a great shot! For #1 it would have been nice to have the photos on the wall lower so they are not cut off, and also to be able to see more of your wife's face (but of course I know these are not posed shots). Maybe have them sit closer together and not facing each other so much? I have a 7 month old so I know how tricky it can be to get shots like these :)

She gave it to me for Christmas with the understanding that I would be taking pictures of the little guy. It was a great gift! I have purchased a few toys for it since then.

I love the second shot! The only thing I'd do to it is make it a bit brighter and I'd up the saturation a bit to really bring out the colors in the photo.
