Jasper Engineering Pano head. It looks like a nice, solid construction.
Does anything look wrong with this head? It will be used with an xsi and wide angle lenses. Soon a 40d, but for now, just the XSI.
Should I jump on this thing?

Looks quite good quality and got some handy markings on it for adjustment. Might consider one of these myself in the near future.

From the pics on their website, it looks like a solid piece that I would consider trying, if I were in the market for a pano head. I own a Nodal Ninja and really like it. If you're looking for something in the same price range, make sure you take a look at the Nodal Ninja 3 MKII:

My biggest concern is leveling the head on both of these.
The first one doesn't have any leveling apparatus, the NN3 has two variants.
Suggestions?

The NN5 I have has a built-in bubble level and I have an EZ-Leveler under the NN5 to help fine-tune the leveling process. I guess you could probably stick a bubble level on this unit and then get an EZ-Leveler separately. The first thing I'd do is see if there are any reviews on Jasper's Pano Head. You don't want to spend that much on something that may look nice, but have the possibility of being plagued with inherent problems. Unless it was just released yesterday, I would think that someone has done some sort of a review on it or, at the very least, posted their observations in a website somewhere.
EDIT: I took a look at the pic again and the Jasper Pano Head already does have a bubble level built-in to the end of the horizontal bar.

So I e-mailed the company and found that there is a new model out that replaced the old one. They say it works fine with even the large dslrs (1d, DX, etc.)

It looks pretty beefy! I'm diggin this one.
I won't be purchasing for a while, but when I do I'll post a review.
