I have a 20D with 2 lenses. 28-80 3.5-5.6 (came with my 10 year old Elan) and and 100-300 4-5.6. I'm looking to upgrade my glass. My first choice was to get the 24-70L. I use the 28-80 most of the time and it would be a nice upgrade. After doing some reading I thought I might be able to spend my money wiser. I could get the 17-40L, 50 1.8 and the 70-200L 4 for just a little more than the 24-70L.
I could aslo go with the 17-85 or even the 28-135 instead of the 17-40L. It would give more range than the 17-40. I'm not sure if those are a big enough upgrades over the 28-80 that I already have.
What are you thoughts?
Oh....I thought about the Tokina, Sigma route but I would like to get some "L" glass with this upgrade.
Hope this make sense.
Thanks,
Chris
