I was wondering if there is anyone out there that can help me figure out how to get the menu drop downs on my blog to look to show a white box behind them. This is what I'm looking for. Just click on "Blogroll", and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Currently, I'm using the same theme and I've been able to figure out some changes on my own by researching on the internet. I have no experience with html and css and it's really starting to make me angry that creating this blog is so difficult. I've got 2 college degrees, a specialty certification in my field, and this stuff makes me feel like I can barely read.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Maybe I'm missing something or you fixed it, but it looks fine to me.

Sorry, I should have specified. This isn't my blog, but was just an example of what I wanted the menu items to do when hovered over. I've tried to change several things in the stylesheet but can't seem to get the right one apparently or I'm missing something. Also, I thought that I had changed the menu background color to white, but I guess that I didn't. Now if I change the background color to anything else, the menu background changes to that color.
Seems to be one thing after another.
Thanks for the reply.

Do you have a link to your site/blog then? ;)

you want a drop down menu. here's a plugin I found doing a quick google search. I'm sure you could find more if you searched wordpress' plugin page.

Okay, now I'm really starting to get angry. I've spent way too much time trying to learn this and I'm about 3 seconds from putting my fist through the computer screen. I'm hoping someone can help b/c if noone can then I'm giving up.
Why won't the facebook icon show up on the red section? I think that I put in the right information. I actually got the RSS feed icon to show up again with the link to facebook but not the right icon. Ideally I wanted it directly under the RSS feed icon but when I did that it kept showing the wrong icon, so I tried listing it directly under the search feature and now nothing shows up. What am I doing wrong?

dougxt- thanks for the link but I don't really want a drop down menu. I just want the text behind some of my links to have a background.
I had found the theme I'm using and then came across the blog listed above that turns out to look almost like mine. I'll have to just get it going and then figure out how to change it all later.
Thanks in advance

The src for the image file looks to be wrong, this is the path you have specified:
http://tedrickphotography.com/blog/wp-content/themes/tofurious-21/images/Facebook_bw.png.
Get rid of the the trailing extra "." - that should fix it.

Okay guys. Thanks for the help. Looks like another problem was that my file was too big. Must not have been fitting in the space. Decreased the size of the file and all is good.
Any idea how to get a white box behind my menu items if they drop down?
Thanks again for the help.

oops, never mind on this...looks like your original placement is fine, so you might want to delete the second one.

Forgot to mention, this is why the image wouldn't show up at first, then when it did it was too big. I looked at that thing about 1000 times, and I can't believe that I didn't see that extra "." - thanks again.
