Took some pictures this weekend for my friends' son's first birthday. I have mostly used natural light near a large window - but it was pouring rain and dark on Saturday afternoon : ( So we got creative with some work lights! It was very tricky and I learned a lot... but still have a LONG ways to go!

C/C welcome and appreciated! Thanks!

Did you bump up the saturation in these? His skin looks like it. I think thye all need a bump in curves. They are all underexposed a bit, some more than others. The ones on the white background....put more space between him and the background you can even adj your fstop depending on what it was to blur the background more. He's super cute!

Yup that is going to happen with work lights. The bulbs don't have a full spectrum of light. Even if you do a dropper white balance, if the spectrum of light has big holes in it, the saturation of different colours will be wrong. There is no real way to correctly white balance while using lights that don't have a decently full spectrum.

I like some of your props and posing but without better lighting, they will always look a bit rough.
