HELP IMAGE PROBLEM

I have used my sx10IS for the past 10 months. Every now and then an image like this will appear. I am not sure whether this is caused by my PC or the SX10.
Anyone else ever experienced something like this? The colour band can be red, blue or yellow.
Your help will be appreciated.

Looks like a corrupted file. The only way to be sure which it is would be to compare the file on the card with the file that was downloaded. Possible causes for that could be a bad card, a bad USB cable, a bad card reader (if you're not using the camera to download from), a bad USB port, or a hard drive problem. Could also be that the download was somehow interrupted. Once you find a recent (where it's still on the camera) file with this problem, see how it looks on the camera. If it's OK there, try downloading again. Use a different reader, USB cable, and port if possible and see how it comes across.

If it was the camera, I'd expect it to be consistent. Since it isn't, I'm inclined to look elsewhere first.
