Does any one know where there is a 20D Battery grip n stock? The all seem to be on back order every where I look

Tell me about it, I spent loads of time searching for the grip.
Finally found one and I ordered it throught digitalfotoclub.com, $169.15. Ordered it on the night of Wed. 5/25, they processed it on Thu., 5/26, and got in on Fri., 5/27...using next day UPS.

I made a call on Thu. to make sure the processing went ok, and that they item was truly in stock. No problems with the retailer or shipping.

I wouldn't buy one until I was sure Canon had fixed the problems. Have a look at this thread (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=70489). I think it's the 20D grip that's faulty.

It seems that nothing ever works correctly now days.Thanks for the info I will wait a while before I get one. I do quite a few weddings and my 10 D work well. the main reason that I bought this camera is because Of the start op times and the flash works much better with it becaues of the ne advance ETTL. It is also lighter than carrying around my MKII. Finding out about the grip problem is a bit of ad issapointment.

I think this may be why everyone is out. Maybe the problem has been fixed and the new ones are bing made and aren't ready yet...

That is a fairly obvious. I even checked out the site mentioned above and they are on backorder there as well. When I found that out I imediatly thought that Canon must have recalled all of the units.

I am hoping they are fixing the problem that I have read about. I am going to wait for new ones to arrive before getting one.
