Hi,

I know this is a section to talk about this forum, but is there one anywhere dedicated to canon film photography?

Cheers,
Tom

Drudging this back up. Any chance for a subforum for Canon film cameras? Perhaps a sub under "Canon EOS Digital Cameras" forum??? There appears to be several active (in the last days to week) film threads going, ATM. The Pentax forum has one for its 35mm cameras of old and it's fairly active. Perhaps we could coax some of the film people to come out of the closet?

Since I am moving in the direction of shooting all film for the majority of my wedding work I would definitely be an active participant in this section if it existed...so +1 for me.

Ain't gonna happen without the activity to support it already there. Same as any other request for new forums.

Jon, what constitutes "activity"? Is there some metric, e.g., posts per day or some such?

The film thread, as far I've seen, generally has one post per day or less. That's not very much at all...

Birds was split from Nature when the volume of bird threads approached that of all other nature content. Likewise MotorSports from Transportation and Weddings from People. Underwater, Photojournalism and Food have so far failed to demonstrate the demand their proponents wanted to believe was there for specialized forums in those areas.

In either case its not gonna happen on this side of the software upgrade (don't ask when its done? ;) the answer you will get is "when its done!" :p )

Since the dedicated "Film" thread's garnered less than a post a day since it was created, it's not likely to happen even then.
