I am considering setting up a basic Zenfolio account to display my photos as well as to have a place that friends and family can order prints easily instead of burning a bunch CDs to pass out. :D I have ordered prints from Adorama in the Endura Lustre finish and have been happy with them. I am now looking into Mpix because of Zenfolio and notice the price increase ($.19 vs $.29 for 4x6 for example) and I am wondering if anyone could compare quality of the two companies in terms of the prints. I know there are A LOT of users here that use Mpix so I don't doubt there quality but could not find any users comparing the two.

I have used both.. Only on large prints. In my opinion MPIX was better. The colors from Adorama were a little dark and in my print that equated to a loss of fine detail.
I wanted to set up a zenfolio to sell as well and after looking I don't see a way to set up pricing on standrard print sizes without having to use a custom pricing for every print size. I prefer to do orders myself as I use Mpix Pro and for larger prints I use WHCC.

Sorry, but I have only used Mpix thru zenfolio, can't compare adaromapix. I've always been satisfied with Mpix quality and pricing. I recently setup the custom prices for paying customers, and you can also assign the 'at cost' ones to family and friends if you like...you choose which of the unlimited pricing schedules you wish to use for each gallery. You can also limit the sizes available, frame options, and all the various products available to order as well.

I previously stated my price w/ markup included, ordered it, then delivered it to the customer. Now, I can charge what I want and the customer can order it themselves, have it delivered to them directly...and they can't whine about deliver charges. I just wait for my paypal balance to increase. :)

Thanks Matt. It sounds like Zenfolio is working out good for you. I will probably give it a try.
