I love the colors in both shots. The first one really draws your eye around the photo to see what else is there.

i like the purple in the second picture. was this shot after sundown?

There are some interesting elements in both photographs. The first has an interesting balance of objects. The second is a classic portrait. The color is rich and this helps with these images.

the first is a display window in a town and the second a simple street light. It was after sundown the window picture was dark out and i believe the light is near dark
