This is a custom bike shoot I did a while ago.......didn't get much response from my last post and am wondering if people here like bikes......or maybe you think my photography of them is crap!

The first and fourth ones are great, but the second and third one have some stray shadows that are out of place (Handlebars on the 2nd and whatever is in the lower left on the 3rd one.)
All in all, some very nice shots.

Thanks for the comment Vetteography.......yes the handle bars, very hard to control those shadows without reflectors and an assistant....... the shadow in the third shot was from a building and I had nowhere to go!

i think the shots are ok. the light seems flat to me. something is missiing. not sure what, but they look like just nice shots, but not special. maybe thats why they use models in alot of car and bike shots.

Hi Sandi and thanks for the comment. I am a member of the NSW Norton Owners club, Hunter Valley branch and an online member of the Made in England subs group. I've been photographing bikes for magazines here for about 12 years.........will have my first Live To Ride shoot happening in June, should appear July-August I reckon'.

DUDE, That is one SWEET looking Bike! You did a great job of capturing it.:D
Myself personally? sometimes I come back to a photo several times before I make comment for various reasons, like being short on time, or even not having anything to say at the moment. I always try to say a little more than just "Nice", or some other one word comment, but that's just me. ;)
BTW, I LOVE the tire smoking photo.:D :D :D

Hey thanks for that, I made the comment about 'comments' as I'd noticed lots of comments on cars and planes, it just got me wondering.......the guy did several burnouts for me, he could really ride particularly considering it is a raked and stretched 120ci chopper!

Reminds me of my older Brother back in the day. He had a 74 ci Harley that was dual purpose, "Show" and "GO". I wish I had photos of it, as it made the cover of Big Bike Magazine back in the 70's. It had an Indian name painted on the tank, and if memory serves, was Atlah, or something like that, and I was told it meant "The Wind". As nice as that bike was, He would STILL ride it like He Stole it. Donuts, wheelies. and drag racing. People always wondered if He wasn't a bit Crazy.

Great shots ... love them all :D
(Maybe apart from the last one, because I don't consider burnouts to be a sign of a sane mind  )
Keep them coming!
Best regards,
Andy

Andy, Having a vehicle capable of, and then actually doing a proper Burnout is a whole experience and adrenaline rush in its self, known only to those that have actually done it themselves. In some instances, it's an integral part of Racing.
It's also a form of exhibiting power that will remain a mystery to those that only ever drive the sedate econo sedans. Admittedly, there are a lot of us that are NOT totally sane, but we DO know how to have FUN. ;)
