First Post - Pics of Son

Well, I finally decided to post something on here after lurking for months.

My wife and I were getting frustrated with the photo sessions we were having at the commercial places so we decided to try it ourselves. We have had our DSLR for quite awhile but really never used it much more than the Automatic mode.

The photo on the left was taken with our 430EX II and bouncing it off the ceiling and the photo on the right was taken with the 430EX II shoot thru a white umbrella.

Please feel free to give us C&C as we are looking to improve what we are taking.

I think they are great photos. Very professional looking! The lighting is perfect in my opinion. In the first picture I would crop it a little more so the top right corner would be cut out a little more, but other than the cropping I think the picture is perfect. And what a cute son you have!
