I know this sounds like a stupid question, but here's why. I have had my new 7D for a few days now and I need to test what AF mode works best for Birds in Flight. We live way north (almost Carefree) and there just aren't many BIF opportunities. Is there a lake in the greater Phoenix area with water foul? Lake Pleasant and Bartley Lake don;t offer much opportunities in that respect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A lot of towns probably have a pigeon population, try those.

Hands down the best place is the Gilbert Riparian Reserve on the southeast corner of Greenfield Road and Guadalupe. Always plenty of wildlife to photograph. Nice walk in the park too!

Park open to the public / free.
