I was shooting a river by my house in CT. New at photography looking for any advice. I just starting shooting alot about 6months ago.

I am pretty new myself, but I really like this shot. If it were mine I might consider upping the contrast slightly. I might also crop out some of the non-river at the top, it doesn't add to the shot; you might consider including more of whatever it is (assuming it is interesting) in your next shot to make it look more deliberate.

Here is my edit, i just autoleveled it then played with contrast and saturation:

What am I supposed to focus on in this shot? There is no defined subject and the "river" and rocks aren't nearly enough to keep my interest.

The processing is also questionable on this. Did you intentionally give it this blue cast and why the purple rocks?

Way over saturated for me.

Nice application of the technique but I need some center of interest.
