At least for me personally! Taken at the Hawai'i HS State Baseball Tournament last week!
I have quite a few "ball on bat" photos from this past baseball season (the kind most everyone wants to have), BUT NOTHING like THIS! I have NEVER seen anything like this in all my years. I have played baseball and football most my life (I'm 33) and still haven't seen a photo like this! I have seen similar results when a foot makes contact with a football, but a baseball and bat? Talk about "wrap around"! As you can tell I'm pretty stoked about this photo!

Don't know if its the shot of the year - but it is a dang fine shot, the timing couldn't be better, and is note worthy stand out shot for sure. Its the kinda shot that comes only after spending hours of doing the same thing over and over again... until you've paid your dues and luck shines providently on you... congradulations.

Incredible pic. I think the photography gods smiled on you. :)
I just spent two days shooting softball and didn't even come close to a bat hitting a ball....and you can believe I WAS trying.

Very cool. I've never seen a baseball compressed like that. The odds of capturing a hit at that exact moment are very, very slim.

Ok with me if you get shot of the year. That is a fine shot. I didn't know the baseball did that when it was crushed. I guess thats true about ripping the cover off one.

Neither did I! And I played baseball for a LONG time! My coach who is a pro scout has done video and picture studies invovling hitting instruction and hasn't even seen that! He's about in his early 50's and a baseball icon here in Hawai'i. It really amazed me too, glad you foudn the same "joy" in it that I did!

you should sharpen it up a bit then just leave it as the cropped image.
