I have a pw tt1 and tt5
I want to trigger my 580ex as a master off the camera and it trigger my 430exII via ir.

I'm told this is no longer possible. whatever. I'm ready to return the pw's, but my needs remain the same. I'm not interested in the st-whatever, I'd like to get in the radio game but I want to be able to fire my 2 flashes off camera. reliably. I'd rather not spend more than $500 (as an initial investment. option to expand later)

Easy enough, just dump the ettl function, go with cybersyncs and be happy.

you can do this if you want. Both of the flashes must be in manual mode and you can control the ratios of each flash. i know you can use an st-e2 on the tt1 in your hot shoe and control other flash units and their ratios. I have done this with mine. I have a 580ex, 430 exii, and 1 tt1 and 2 tt5s.

a 5d may have an issue with this but i am not sure.
