I was wondering if there is a little software trick or application to process all my raw files and gather from those a satistics table on my typical use:
* what focal length do I use most often (and what focal lengths that I have available do I hardly use)
* similar for iso, aperture

Of course (I try to) make consious choixes for every shot ror set of shots. But I'm just curious to see what this boils out to in the end.

I think a little application like this wil be very helpfull for deciding how to upgarde or expand the lens set.

I hope somebody has made such a application or has a link to something like this.

I don't seem to find some statistics function in RawShooter. Am I overlooking something?

There was a thread some time ago about a small app; I think it was something like exif analyzer. Try doing a search on that.

Found it:http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=50521&highlight=exif+analyzer

I did find that, but unfortunately it gives bogus results. For example the application gives fast or slow for shutter, rather than a decent time (like it is stored in the exif). Similar for focus (wide rather than 18 mm).

Thanks for trying to help anyway :)

I do not know of a statistical application in thiat sense, but surely would be of great help in understanding what I am shooting the most, what speeeds, focal lenghts and aperture. Once gained those informations, is a perfect way to understand several things:

1) What pieces of equipment are really needed (more tele, more aperture etc)
2) What is the technical style most used (AV, TV, M)

I really like the idea. But it seems that there is nothing available...

Found something: Turpo Photo (http://www.stepok.com/eng/index.htm) has some type of exif statistical analysys. Nothing that I am really happy with (it seems to me that for examples dos not suppose focal lenghts >300, or probably it just has a limited number of rows he can use so the longer gets out of the graph), plus I believe it is not able to extract that data in a file. But chances are that I still have to understand it because I just downloaded the trial and gave it a quick look.

Anybody else has different solutions ?
