Sigma lens differences

Hi there,

Could you tell me what the difference is between a Sigma 28-300 mm.F3.5-6.3 DL Aspherical IF Hyperzoom and the Sigma 28-300 mm F3.5-6.3 Macro lense ? There is some difference in the lens construction 16-18 versus 13-15

Min. focus .83-1.17 versus .5

Magnification 1: 5 Versus 1 :3

Filter size 72 mm versus 62 mm.



Is one lense better than the other ?It is for a Canon.

For the most part the difference is probably the macro capabilities of the one which allows you to get a lot closer to a subject you are focusing on.
