I may have an opportunity to shoot a rehearsal for a friend of mine. they are opening for the Dave Matthews Band on the Budlight cruise in a few weeks. They had a web site but not content on it. when he found out i do photos, he said i should come out and shoot a gig. I may try to get a rehersal in for them so they have some stuff ready before they leave. what gear should I use? I have the XSI with the kit lens, a tamron 100-300mm and a 50mm 2.8. i have an older off camera flash that I have a bounce hood for but I read somewhere that the power from the flash may be too much for my camera and may fry it. what else do you all suggest? can I make it work with what I have?

thanks

what do you think?

Focus is off in all but the first.
Only the first is "band" to me, and only slightly. I do like the "looking through" an out of focus foreground though. Pretty nice, even if I'd crop a bit top and right.
