Well, today I learned that you should ALWAYS have your camera in the car and ready to shoot.
I did have my camera with me this morning on the way to work, but sans any flash card - I left that at home.
Got to work, opened my door and about 10 ft. away pecking at a stump was a huge pilated woodpecker. Would have made an awesome pic-and he was not afraid of of me--hung around for quite awhile.

From now on, I will have that camera charged -loaded and ready to shoot!!
Bummer!!:(

That's the type of thing that usually happens to me.

I always have my camera ready and on if I'm driving to and from work, Just in case:-) Not that I have ran into anything extrodinary yet but if I were to turn it off and or leave it home.....Without a doubt Alien space ships would be in the sky, The president would walk past my car or Mickey will get into a fender bender LOL

When I see a photo-op and I don't have my camera...........I'll just say its not meant to be photographed..............IT WORKS!!!
