Has anyone been able to remove the QR base from the head? I tried using metric hex wrench but haven't been able to keep the head from turning with it.
I lost the Slik QR plate and would like to use the ball head with a replacement arca-style QR base. I normally stack the plates anyway because I don't like the Slik QR plate.
