From time to time we hear of stories where our services are enlisted as pro photographers...horror stories, a lot of them. I have run into a couple of organizations that actually make these demands, as I'm sure everyone will or has done...so I wanted to do something about it.

I saw a group of funny videos on this website www.xtranormal.com and found you can actually create your own flash video by typing in text and designing your own video from the web. So what I wanted to do was design a video of my own and put it on the web; something to educate how it should work between a photographer and a horror-story client.

Plot:
Ad client comes to photographer asking photographer to do work for her campaign...no budget, no time frame, not even sure what she wants ..blah blah ..photographer gives her the low down on some of the things he needs in order to get things done. It's based off a couple of real situations I had while working.

Photographer is at a loss for words, grows frustrated and begins to tell the client how it (should) work. I want it to be educational or enlightening potentially for all audiences..both clients and professional photographers who are starting out. It's based on ideal circumstances and of course these change or are worded differently but I hope it can be useful to a viewer. Just wanted to pass it by other professionals (I'm a very new professional, still) to see what their thoughts were.

Take a gander..tell me where I'm wrong or what needs fixing or what should be brushed up.

It's approximately 5 minutes long.

That was pretty cool.

Can you make one where she makes her offer and the photographer says "O no you didn't!" and then hits her with a light stand? That's something every photographer has wanted to do before I'm sure.:lol:

edit: The part where she says "Think of the exposure, you'll be famous" had me laughing my ass off. Oh, man that was great.
