Hey there. I am using CS4 and was wondering if anyone out there could help me out with finding a good skin processing tool/action/software... Something that will make smooth skin tones. Any input or advice would be great. Thanks a ton!

try portrait professional, i know they were offering free downloads like a month ago, don't know if they still are.

in cs4, a good easy way to do things is, after you get rid of blemishes and whatnot, to duplicate layer and apply a gaussian blur and then create a reverse layer mask (or whatever it's called...by holding ALT and then pressing on the layer mask icon) and then painting over areas that need smoothing.

Wrong forum to ask this particular question ^^;. Can a mod move the topic to the processing part of the forum?

Portraiture plug ins are a great way to go for simple skin processing. I know people (myself included) who use a dodge and burn layer, clone stamp, healing brush and high pass filter with gaussian blur method to get the skin smoothing effect.

If you hunted through a place like action central you will find plenty of actions that purport to do a multitude of skin processes. I have some of the OnOne an Nik plugins and they do a fine job of certain skin processes.
