What could I have done better with the picture and the post processing? My first stab at it, but I really like this style of photos and would like to take more and better ones.
Thanks

The crop is too tight for me. I think it would be better to put the entire tree in the frame. Also, there are a lot of pure blacks on the bottom of your image, which I think don't add much to the picture (in fact, it's a bit distracting).
It's in general pretty hard to make a silhouette interessting. I believe you did a good job in this one. In my opinion these kind of trees always work just fine as a silhouette, because it's really just those funky shapes you want to emphasize and not the texture or color of the tree.
As for post processing: I think a little bit of dodging on the clouds would have been great. Especially that cloud on the bottomleft.

Thanks!
What does "Dodging" mean?

Dodging and burning are oldschool techniques dating from the darkroom to manipulate the exposure at a selected area. Ansel Adams was famous for his dodging and burning. Nowadays you can dodge (lighten) or burn (darken) with Photoshop and most other photo manipulation programs.
