Hi shutterbugs ....also shutterbugs who loves music ..

Its a silly question ... so I am just curious if anybody has some information on issues bout Guitar Amp Speakers placing near your SLR or lens for long term .... is there any side effects ? Becos my Room is kinda small so i had to put my cameras next to my 150Watt Guitar Amp.. which i just bought it ..... i have read about articles on speaker's magnetic field interfereing and discolouring Tvs and computer monitor if speakers not magnetically shielded..now i have a DC DryBox Fridge which place next to my speakers i put all my 4 lens plus my camera into the fridge .... Anybody have any experiences bout this ?

Your comments and foresight is Tremendously appreciated !!!

Happy Shooting yas

As far as i know magnets are only a problem for older TVs and computer monitors (non plasma/LCD) that are CRT. Behind the glass there is a thin sheet of metal called a shadowmask that ensures the electrons/light hits the right area of the screen. Magnets distort this and cause problems. This is why they made magnetically sheilded speakers for home theater use, especially center speaker which is placed near or even ON the TV.

I don't think there are any parts in the camera that would be sensitive to a regular speaker magnet. I have a 90w guitar amp (12" driver) next to my desk and store some camera stuff next to it as well.
