Nice video, and I had a good laugh. I'm very impressed by the video quality that is shot by the 7D. It will be my next camera.

Thank you for the comment.
I've shown it to some movie director I'm working with and they were impressed as well. Especially knowing that this test was made extremely quickly. Something like "I put my camera here, set the aperture and exposure roughly and shoot...next shoot!"
I'm also especially pleased with the quality of the lens I've used. Very sharp, good and natural color, long rang focus ring and solid like a tank.

Liked the video.
Some camera shop folks are telling me that the video capabilities of the 5DMKII is why they are so much in demand...even more so than the camera's still shot capabilities.....not sure if it's true but it's what I hear.
I'm guessing that will play a role in the sales of the 7D.

Yes, I've heard about the same thing on the shop where I've bought my 7d. I've also meet there some TV actors in France that went here to buy one because the DP on their shooting set was going crazy about this camera ;-)

We all have to sit through commercials but now if I spot thin DOF (A BK commercial comes to mind) I tend to think; hey, maybe this was shot with a 5DII!
There are vast amounts of people round the world who have a superbly awesome imagination but not much cash, this makes the 5DII a great way for them to get into this creative field! :D

Jean-Michel I really liked your quick video, great for a laugh and for taking a look at what the 7D can do.
Keep more vids coming! :)

Nice, but the highlights are overblown. Better to stop it down and bring up highlights in post. Easier to retrieve shadow detail than try and rescue highlight detail when there's none to begin with.

jmtari,
Don't suppose you would be willing to do a bit of scenery video?
I spent about a month in Paris, many moons ago, around 1975. Beautiful city...Paris deserves some scenic shots.
Thanks.
