Last weekend the sun and the sky were like magic. Betwee 21.30 and 21.45 I managed to take a few photo's
I think sunset's are rather difficult to capture right.
I attached two photo's and I wonder what your remarks (positive/negative) are.
By the way the photo's are straight from camera.

Number 2 is my favourite, but would be worth editing out those few twigs in the top left corner/side of the frame.

Thank you for your remarks. I will crop the twig away later.
Can you tell me why you prefer the second photo ?

I love number 1 because of the colour transition from the blue sky to the sunset.

Can u give some more details about the settings you used?

Settings photo number one: UV haze filter Tv( Shutter Speed )1/400;Av( Aperture Value )16 EV -1/3 ISO 800

Settings photo number two : UV haze filter Tv( Shutter Speed )1/500;Av( Aperture Value )16;EV 0; ISO 800
Use a rahter high iso setting, it was getting dark and was waiting for some wildlife that didn't show up.
When I took the photo I forgot to put the ISO back to lower level.
Photos were all taken handheld.
Posted another threat with regard to sunset in the Travel and Landscape forum.

Wonderful shots - #1 is for me - dark and moody - captures everything I feel a sunset should be.
Great work

They're both great shots. In #1 I like the way that you can still see the light rays radiating from the sun. I find the silhouette in #2 to be more dramatic and the sun really adds to the picture.

God rays! Verry pretty, but the pics are too big for comfortable viewing.
