1. Meet the F-18 flight team known as the Ho Boner crew. Hey, look at their names. I didn't make that up.
http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt98/MichaelFairbanks/HoBoner.jpg
2. As you can see, boner goes up.
http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt98/MichaelFairbanks/Bonerpointsup.jpg
3. And sometimes boner goes down.
http://i601.photobucket.com/albums/tt98/MichaelFairbanks/Bonercomesdown.jpg
4. But mostly boner just hangs to the left.

5. Boner going down quickly.

#1 is awesome!
Could I be cheeky and ask for the full size so I can use it on my laptop? :)

Good series. 4. But mostly boner just hangs to the left. And that's very cute, but in the "Share" areas IMAGE POSTING RULES (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=74718) only allow 2 attachments by the OP per thread, OR 8 embedded (linked) images, OR a combination of both totaling 8. (Maximum 1024 pixels on any side.) You can always just post a link to more, though, or better yet, post a link to a gallery so we don't have to click on each image link.
Some exceptions are "Show Me...", "Post your best...", equipment reviews, Tutorials, etc.

Yep an A-10, which is actually the "Thunderbolt". Just got the nickname Warthog because it's ugly like one.

Nice series...
At the risk of being labled Pedantic, the US Army Golden Knights would probably prefer to be called Skydivers as opposed to "Paratroops."
Usually, Paratroops are under round canopies that are far less maneuverable than their Ram Air using counterparts.

Thanks for the skydivers clarification.
Also, thanks for updating me on the rules of each thread. I'm still relatively new and am trying my best to follow rules. I thought it was a limit of eight per post, not eight per thread.
Sorry about that.

And both the Navy and the Air Force would not take kindly to saying the Warthog is a Navy airplane.
The Navy would tell you it's too ugly, the Air Force would tell you the Navy is not worthy of such a beast.

GREAT JOB!
I love the above photo. You caught the a/c right in the DOF - nice!

Thank you. I didn't really try to get anything special with that Ho Boner shot. I just saw them taxiing and decided to fire. It was only later, upon processing, that I noticed the silly names. I wish the pilot was Ho and the Sysop was Boner. But, good enough.

I love the A-10s, if your on the business end of one of them and you hear those engines coming in you know your in for a world of hurt.

If you're on the receiving end and you hear the engines, they're already mopping up what's left of you 'cause you've been dead a while. ;)

Well one may be lucky enough to be outside the tank "watering the trees" when one saunters by.
I remember the first time I ever heard one. I was in NH skiing(Loon) and all of a sudden heard a strange noise. It would come and go for about ten minutes and all of a sudden got really loud. My friends and I stopped just in time to see two pair of them snaking their way through the mountains and sadly they were gone a few seconds later, but what a few seconds they were.
Now this is going back over twenty years so I'm wondering if they used to fly out of Pease back then.
I had made my way to Oceana last weekend hoping to see even a static one, no such luck.
Maybe it was that first experience I don't know, but I really do love those big ugly loud and slow SOBs'.
