I took these today with the "nifty fifty" at a dog show, and I'm quite happy with the way they turned out. I'm also 2 months into using my T1i so I know they can be better. Lay it on me folks :)

#2 is the nicest image in this set

#2 here also, however, #5 has great potential, lighting is not ideal but keep experimenting with that angle.

Nice looking snapshots, a little off camera flash, or bounced would liven these up sweetly! I like 5, that one is less flatly lit. Just my $.02 Watch the farming in camera, NOT cutting off limbs and joints will make the images better.

I agree with the masses.

The image composition of number 2 is the best. You've done well here to catch her when she wasn't posing, and the image has worked all the better for it - it really tells a story unlike the others. The only thing I would suggest would be to pay close attention to the background colours when shooting pics with the 50mm. While the background has nice bokeh (background distortion / blur), the red jumper catches my eye more than it should.

Number 5 is a close second. As was said by Lightworks, watch lopping off limbs (her head in this case).

Good shooting.

just curious, could you grey out the red article behind her in pp?
