Thats odd, never heard that one before. I've seen distance restrictions behind it, but never complete restriction.

Thats where the long glass comes in handy, you can be 10yds behind the endzone and get great stuff.

It amazes me how things vary from state to state, even school to school.
I can shoot from anywhere while at a HS football game, but I go indoors to a gym that's as dark as a cave and I'm forbidden to use flash. I'm jealous of the indoor shots taken with flash/strobes.

Are the media photographers also prohibited from shooting in the endzone?
It's something worth banding together and try to get changed.

I don't have a 400 2.8 yet. Unless you're willing to send yours my way. You have the 300. What do you need the 400 for? ;) I probably could get a way w/ standing on the walk way and getting the shot, but don't have long enough glass.

This is youth football and I have media credentials. When I shoot upper level football, I'm free to be where ever I want. Rumor has it that it stems from an incident a couple years ago between an official and a wannabe coach/parent.
