Hey everyone, i would liek to know if you can load stuff back onto the camera, because i wana transport alot of images and i have a 256MB card and on my old camera i could upload images from the computer back onto the camera via the usb link.
Does anyone understand what im asking?
Well i cant seem to do it with my IXUS V3, and i was wondering if anyone knows if its possibe and perhaps a way to do it. I'm using XP, and the USB cable that came with the camera.
Thanks.

I never did it, but it should be possible I think because when you use Software which is sold with IXUS (Zoom Browser) in it's menu you can find separate buttons for "download images from camera" and "upload images to camera".
Have a try

The only way i can think that you will be able to do it is if you have / buy a CF card reader ! This then acts like a zip drive ! ( hence drive always connected to the PC and you put media in it ! )
I tried doing what you are and i think that this is the only true way to do it !
Have Fun and please post your findings !

I know you can do it with the Canon A40, because I have, but I'm not sure about your model. It doesn't have any info on that in the manual?

Common, I've got me :-) Had to do it practically after your posting. And I was right, first I had to believe my eyes - if I see in Zoom Browser option "Upload" it means Upload, then I actually erased all pictures in CF card in my camera and UPLOADED one picture from my computer to a camera, without any CF readers, using camera cable and software. And now I have this one image back in my camera.

Seeing as you guys have had experiences with the Ixus v3 - any chance of some advice with my problem:
I recently purchased a Canon Ixus V3 from a freind who purchased for me from Hong Kong.
After installing the necessary software, I cannot download any images from the camera to my PC (using windows 2000).
I keep getting the message "no camera found".
I have tried "searching for new hardware" on my PC and it picks up the camera but I cannot find the driver I need to progress any further.
Any ideas
Help would be greatly appreciated.

@edwinm
Have you tried setting the camera in view mode while it's plugged to the computer?
As silly as it sounds, that's what happened to me the first time...

Which software you installed? TWAIN drivers? No? If not - computer will not find your camera. And second - do not forget to switch on the camera on view mode.
