Thought id post a couple from what can only be describerd as the top tourist draw in scotland by miles "Lochaber" better known as glen coe to most vistors
this is without doubt a place of dramatic hills and super landscapes
its super to take pictures when the weather is fine ,but its not so forgiving when the rains about ask anybody who's been in the wrong weather
Lochain na L'Achlaise, Black Mount, Rannoch Moor

Hang around for half an hour in glen etive and you will meet one of the locals

On entering glen coe this is what greets you this is a shot of the second and third sister -which is part of the three sisters group of mountains

John, these are all great shots.
That's a wonderfull shot of Black Mount and the reflections on Lochain na L'Achlaise are beautiful.
Glen Etive to the head of Loch Etive is an area I've always meant to travel but have never managed.
After seeing this shot it's top of my list this summer.
The three sisters are always impressive ( it takes a fish eye or a panorama to get them all in from the roadside).
With Bidean nam Bian and Stob Coire Sgreamhach behind , it's an impressive area.
BTW the locals look good enough to eat. :)

I love the first one, but they're all beautiful. Must try to visit, trouble is, there are so many wonderful places to visit up here aren't there? :D

Oh flipping heck, you are making me jealous! I was up there in April, 04 and the weather left something to be desired. I have some pics that have interesting moods if you will or could call it that. I had a great time, though. My only wish is that the weather was more cooperative! :rolleyes:

firstly glen etive like yourself i was the same allways passing but never venturing to see whats down in that glen
i can assure you you will love it , theres waterfalls galore hills and yes the locals ARE good enough to eat just like their tasty cousins just across the water from us
as for the three sisters im working on a pano just now of the three sisters ,
