Back in April 05,I visited Chaing Mai in Thailand for their New Years celebrations (Songkran). The event lasts 5 days, and basically involves splashing water over each other. I was worried about taking my new 20D to such an event, some said the water was a light spray others got closer to the mark.

I ended up buying a A95 for the vacation, and armed myself with a small water pistol-for self defence. Sadly my small pistol and powershot proved no match for the water cannons, water Bazookas & buckets, and the A95 died after the third day at Songkran, dispite my attempts at ducking and diving!

Luckily I managed to bag several pics, before the A95 met its maker-after which I ditched the pistol in favour of a 1 gallon bucket!

The lesson learned...next time forget the camera...take a bucket!:)

Sorry bout the loss of your camera :(

Maybe this is the excuse you need to get a weather sealed 1-series body and some L-glass :D

Or you can get one of these http://web.canon.jp/Imaging/uwphoto/lineup-e.html

Looks like fun, thanks for the shots, next time leave the camera at home and take a 5 gallon bucket. Great shots, my wife want to know what an A95 cost over there? She keeps me from upgrading.
