The bears are impressive which is more than can be said for the environment. Why is there so much rubbish there? Is it dangerous being in that situation taking photos ... not because of the rubbish but the bears!

Looks like a dump to me. I remember as a kid visiting my grandparents, Grandpa would take us up the road every night in the truck to see the bears at the dump. Such fun! :lol:

yes it is a dump indeed
as per danger - they were not displaying agression signs at all, they were scared of us, running away if someone else came to dump garbage and coming back afterwards. as long as they have clear way to run away they will chose this instead of confrontation (so they say, so far so good ;) )
