I, by mistake, went to the wrong menu and asked for a firmware update. The camera stopped operating until it could get an update. Unfourtunately I didn't have a backup of the firmware (version 1.5 was originally installed). I download 1.4 and loaded it. The camera now sees all CF cards as full, no matter waht I do to the card.

Can I get firmware 1.5 somewhere and download it?
or
Is there some way to get 1.4 to work in my camera?

I was under the impression that 1.4 was the latest firmware for the 1D. If you go to Canon's US site I think you'll find the firmware there...........

Everywhere I've been including canon usa takes me to the same 1.4 download. I didn't know what firmware I had until I went to load 1.4 and the screen said that I was loading 1.4 over 1.5. I make the assumption that the error occured as I described before. However, it was in the heat of a wedding and I really don't know for sure why the firmware update screen appeared. It started immediately once I change batteries and CF cards and formatted.

Version 1.4 was the last firmware released for the 1D MK-I, there was never a version 1.5
