I like to do this little exercise from time to time to play around with the different editing effects I can get from one picture and here is another.

Went to NYC yesterday and visited the Top of the Rock (68th Floor Observation Deck of Rockafeller Center) and the view is nothing short of amazing. Here is a view of the Empire State Building with Brooklyn in the background and two different edits:

#1 is the print and I only wish I didn't have to look through your logo! promise I won't steal it! Also I would try the sky from #1 and the city from #2. You can split print making the sky cold and the city warm which is a pretty seductive effect when it's done right.

I don't think I like the darkened strip from your logo going across the entire photo. I've got a 22" monitor and still had to scroll to the right to see it all. Thought it was from the reflection on the glass

Other than that, I'd say plus one on all the plus one's

Yea I have been recently using that sig, but I think it really depends on the photo whether it was appropriate or not. I wasn't 100% sure how I felt about it, but I left it. I can always remove it and make the text smaller in the corner since I have the PSD.

Thanks though.

Indeed. It's nice not having to shoot through several layers of glass.

I'll have #1 too, please.

HDR on #1?

Yes #1 did go through Photomatix, but the strength is very low on the HDR portion. Just wanted to bring out the clouds in the sky.

Though I liked the sky in #1, the horizontal strip at the bottom of your watermark spoiled the pic. Otherwise a good one.

Thank you.

Like I said previous I am just trying to find a watermark I like, if I feel one is necessary at all. I am glad I am getting critiques on both the shot and the watermark in this thread though.

Kill two birds with one stone.

To darken the sky, you had to darken the top of the building too. Looks weird, but most people won't notice. Maybe a good mask can fix that.
