I converted this color image to Black and White using Fred Miranda’s B&W Pro.
Question: Suggestions on best print methods using a Canon S9000 printer. Settings? Paper?
Thanks! … Dan

See note in "Talk about photography" forum
I have the Canon S9000 using Canon ink.
I was playing with B+W a couple of days ago and noticed that I got the best results from Epson Premium Glossy photo paper when printing in B+W, Office Depot Premium Glossy paper came in close second. I do not recommend, Kodak Ultima Satin, Ilford Classic Glossy, or HP papers (I did not use HP with B+W yet, but generally have bad results (long to dry, blotting) with Canon ink) when printing B+W. I have not run B+W printing against any of the other types I have on hand yet.
Also note: I did not use the same image for all prints, but grey scale should not have mattered and I believe the blue/cyan tint in the prints would have showed up regardless of the image used.
I will be running a full set of paper types I have versus one of my B+W images sometime soon.

The B&W conversion looks great on screen. Could you please tell me where I can find Fred Miranda's B&W Pro?
Thanks

Check out the Epson Enhanced Matte paper. It is really nice for B/W prints. I'm not sure how it works with Canon inks, but if it's even close to what I get from my Epson 2200 it'll be very nice.
