If someone is buying a larger size (18x12) photo of yours (unmounted), how would you ship it? Rolled in a tube or try to ship it flat? I'm thinking rolled in a tube. Maximum protection. Posters and really large sizes are shipped this way all the time.

Thoughts?

How are you printing it? If you're printing it on roll paper, it's easier to get it in the tube since it's already somewhat curled than it would be for a flat paper.

18x12 I usually ship rolled in a 5" diameter tube so it doesn't get too tightly curled.

we often ship mounted 12x8s too, which come out at 14x10. These are shipped with a sheet of correx on each side to keep them flat, some tape to hold the package together, all in a jiffy bag.

You might want to ask the buyer how they would like it shipped. If you are shipping overseas at all as well, there *might* be a difference in pricing based on how the item is shipped & which carrier you use (rolled vs. flat).

I'm having the local camera/print shop print it. I'm thinking I'll go with the larger rolled tube. It's only going about 250 miles to the next state over, so that part isn't a big deal. Thanks all.

Even in a 3" tube, and 18 x 12 won't curl all that bad.
You are safer in choosing the tube for shipping, as it's common for flat packages to be damaged on the recieving end as they are being jammed in the customers mailbox.
