It looks like you have a few good models to work with. Nice use of the lantern for a light source. I really like the DOF in 1 and 2.

No use in having a fast wide lens and not shooting in low light.

Thanks, Tim.

We had braces on her young. Hopefully that will save some ortho bills down the road :)

I checked out your photo blog and WOW. You have a great eye for color and lots of skill being able to make the light do what you want it to do. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your pictures.

No flash, I have been working on no flash portraits more and more. I use my flash too much and have been playing with toy cameras that have no flash... makes it tough. I don't think I even brought my flash camping? Might have though. I'd need to look through all the exif on my shots to be sure.

ahhh...... light from the lantern... :) Didn't think of it because you have always been so good with your flash, so I just assumed it... my mistake.

Pretty fun stuff. How are you liking the new camera?

I like the 20d more than any digital camera I've used so far. This one records light different. I haven't used it much at all but it's fine.

I took some time off pictures to see my kids grow up through my own eyes rather than the lens and viewfinder option I've been using. Fuji has a cool instant camera that I've been playing with a lot. The shots are $1 a pop so it makes you think it out a little more and make the shot count.

Post some new shots of your kids. I'll be back around later on tonight and I'd like to see some.

Yeah.. I think every camera is a little different in the metering. Once you get a feel for it.. maybe you'll like it better. Gotta love the ISO handling though.. it is better than 20D... right?

Glad you enjoyed some QT with the family. It is so important.. and life goes by too quickly.. so I love hearing that kind of thing. lol... Fuji instant camera.. you are so quirky with your "toy cameras"... share somethign will ya? Are they interesting like the Holga you played with last year..?

New shot of my kiddos..? Yikes.. I have hardly posted lately. I feel guilty to post as I lurk more often than post lately. Life has been crazy for me.

So nice to see you posting again though.... looking forward to more, as I always love the natural look to your shots. :)

WOW 95 pounds? I've never seen you in person but I can't believe you had 95 pounds to lose.

**and Kristy hi-jacks the thread.... (my apologies in advance)**

Awww... she's just being polite... she's looking great, feeling great... (and we honestly never did think she had much to loose).

Very inspiring Maureen.... :) To say the least... :)
