Hi all
What is the largest print I can expect to get from a D1?
Keep in mind these will be wedding pictures shot for profit.
My reputation will be on the line so I need a no BS answer.
This is a big jump for us so we are trying not to make any colstly mistakes.
Thanks,
Mark

I am using the 1d and you will have no problems at least out to Super A3 size (329 * 483mm) provide you are using the full frame and not cropping it down. We regularly print that large for weddings with the 1D.

I've had good results (will a little noise) at 20x30 - but I'm shooting sports so the noise can add to the "grit" of the action...

I went to a seminar this past week end sponsered by Ed Peirce. He is on a 38 city tour demostrating what can be done with digital.
There were prints on display up to 30x40 and you could not tell what camera was used to shoot them. Some were with D1, D1s and D60.
There were a series of prints (20x24) of the same subject shot with all different cameras, including Hasselblad. Had the cameras not been identified, you would not know which ones were shot with film or digital.
Ed did point out that there was a learining curve, and the exposure had to dead on to be able to get the big enlargements.
If you get a chance to go to one of these seminars, by all means go. They are free. One of his sponsers is Canon.

Tour schedule curiousity....
I give (after doing an extensive search) what cities and when. Is there a URL for a page (that exists) with the schedule on it?
Thanks
